Her name is not actually Grace, it's Brandi Pitts. When I see this picture, it is an image of God's amazing grace being poured out on me. I have prayed and prayed for help with my photography. It is my nature to go ahead and answer for God. I want to fix, control and manipulate His plan into what is convenient for me. The answer that God gives is always so much bigger and better than anything that I could ever come up with for myself. His grace is new and (here's that word again) amazing everyday. Lately, He has introduced me to a new friend who happens to be an incredibly talented photographer. She has been so kind and generous with her time, and in sharing her knowledge. Brandi has helped me with my camera, learning photoshop, working on a website, starting my business and even came over to take pictures of me for my blog. She could have seen me as (eventual) competition or just not taken the time to help. She has an inspiring perspective on her gifts and talents. She says that they come from God. They do not belong to her, so why would she not give of them freely and help a fellow sister in Christ. Amazing! That is really paying it forward. I was thanking her today for the gorgeous portraits that she created of our family (what was suppose to be a quick head shot of me for my new website, turned into a whole family session!) She thanked me for my friendship. I am not really sure what exactly I am bringing to the relationship.... But, I feel honored that she considers me to be her friend. I hope to return the favor someday, in someway. In the meantime I am inspired by her Godly perspective and I am reminded of Paul's letter to the Philippians when he writes- "I thank my God every time I remember you." Phil 1:3

"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms"
